MOST-ASKED QUESTIONS

No. You can come solo. In beginner classes we rotate so you get practice with different people. If you prefer not to rotate, tell the instructor and we’ll help you participate in a way that feels comfortable.

Start with Beginner Level 1 on Mondays. It’s designed for first-timers and covers the basics you need to enjoy socials. If you already dance a bit (or took classes elsewhere), come early and ask us where you fit best.

Wear comfortable clothes you can move in. Shoes: clean indoor sneakers work great. If you have dance shoes, bring them. Avoid flip-flops and anything that slides off easily.

Want dance shoes? We partner with: Fuego (10% off) and I Love Dance Shoes ($10 off). Use code Josesandance.

Most classes are 60 minutes. You’ll get instruction, guided practice, and time to try it with music. Some evenings include multiple back-to-back classes.

No experience needed for Mondays. For Wednesdays and Thursdays, we recommend basic Salsa or Bachata foundations because the pace is faster and focuses more on partnerwork progressions.

Yes. Adults of all ages attend. If you’re looking for youth programming, message us and we’ll tell you what’s currently available.

Group classes (social + structured learning) and private lessons (fast progress, personalized coaching). If you have a specific goal (wedding, confidence, technique), private lessons are often the quickest path.

Once per week is the minimum for steady progress. Twice per week is where most people level up quickly, because your body retains timing and patterns better.

Flexible Packages: Use anytime, up to one year from when you start using the pack. Great if your schedule changes.

Consecutive Packages: Runs for 5 consecutive weeks starting from your first class. Best if you want a consistent routine and faster momentum.

Yes. You can switch between flexible/consecutive or move into private lessons. A $15 admin fee applies, plus any difference in price.

Yes. We create choreography for weddings, birthdays, competitions, and special events. The best next step is a quick consult so we can understand your timeline, song, and comfort level.

Refunds are available for private classes and group packages with a $15 processing fee per transaction. Refunds go back to the original payment method. Rescheduling is treated as a cancellation. Exceptional circumstances (illness, emergencies, COVID symptoms) may be considered case-by-case.

STILL NOT SURE? THIS IS NORMAL.

Most people hesitate for the same reasons: “I have two left feet,” “I don’t have a partner,” or “I’ll feel awkward.”

Our beginner classes are built for that. You’ll learn simple, repeatable patterns, get coached without being singled out, and leave with something you can actually use at a social.
